Overnight Project Workers (P/T Jobshare, 3 night/week fixed-term contract)

We are seeking an Overnight Project Worker to make a real difference to the lives of the homeless in Waltham Forest. If you want to make a positive impact to people’s live, come and join our team. We welcome applicants for our Overnight Project Worker (Wed-Fri) for the winter season (until 31st March 2020) to maintain the safety of the guests who attend our shelters.

We are an independent charity of local churches who are motivated by a common concern for the plight of the homeless in Waltham Forest, providing a rolling night shelter with up to 30 bed spaces, hot food and friendly company every night from 1 November to 31 March. We believe in providing a high quality and compassionate service to our guests, many of whom have a range of support needs, such as alcohol dependency and mental health issues.  The project accommodated over 200 homeless persons over the last winter.

Employment is subject to the provision of adequate references and an Enhanced Criminal Record Check. The successful candidate will be offered an appropriate medical examination for night working.
